So you’ve been running for a while, done a 10km and got the shirt (literally!) but where do you go from there? Well firstly, if you’re reading this it sounds like you’ve been bitten by the running bug. Well the good news is that help is at hand! Making that leap from running the park run to a half or full marathon can be a scary prospect.
– How will I find the time to train?
– What if I get injured?
– Do I need new trainers?
– What training programme should I follow?
– What do I do if i need a wee half way round? (seriously!)
– And most importantly will my body be up to it?
Any of these sound familiar? Don’t worry though, they are all perfectly normal thoughts to have and training for any event should be planned carefully in order to prevent injury and ensure you get to the start line in one physically and mentally prepared for race day.
Here at Fit4-Physio we’ve been where you are now. We too were bitten by the running bug and now want to help other people achieve their goals. We are excited to offer bespoke packages to runners starting out on their running journey. We’ll advise you on injury prevention (and cure if need be) as well as answering all the other questions you may have on the subject of running.
